Well, the ball is rolling, and I love it: a new podcast that is in full start-up mode and I might even dare to say that it is some of the best work I’ve ever done.
Yes, I’m proud of it.
No, it isn’t perfect.
In the first episode the microphone levels are strange, and the chemistry between my co-host and I wasn’t relaxed at all. We had to stop and start over and over again, for TWO WHOLE HOURS, until we could get it right. This has mainly to do with the fact that we weren’t just pressing the record button and talking about what we have experienced in the last week. We are making an effort to produce quality content.
The second episode on “doubt” was so much fun that it was then I realized this was something I could invest my time into. Besides, why do anything unless you can have a little bit of fun, right?
The content itself is more topical than anything, and every topic we speak on seems to be a very issue, not just in the church, but also out in the wider world and culture. They include topics like homosexuality, nonviolence, Harry Potter, the Bible, racial reconciliation, mysticism, and moral relativism – just to name a few. We want to talk about things that we fell “matter” in our wider culture, not just in our neat little circles.
We like to think, feel, risk, pray, and grow.
We are asking our friends and readers to go onto iTunes to subscribe and rate our humble efforts.

From the bio on the website: Let’s Break Down is the podcast where your hosts, Jon Beadle and Luis Rivas, break down topics ranging from theology and philosophy, all the way to current events and popular culture.
Currently we have released two episodes, with each one better than the last. I hope you get a chance to enjoy them. So far, we have heard great things from friends and fans alike.
